The STEM Experience

A Traveling Weather Museum That Comes to Your School, Camp, or After-School Program.

Learning doesn’t have to sit still.
The Drizzle Weather STEM Experience transforms your cafeteria, gym, or multipurpose room into a hands-on weather science adventure students will never forget. This is a museum-style, interactive experience where students rotate through immersive weather stations, explore real-world science concepts, and see how meteorologists study the atmosphere every day. YES, WE CAN MAKE IT SNOW INSIDE!

What Is the STEM Experience?

The STEM Experience is a fully facilitated, traveling weather lab led by professional meteorologists and STEM educators. Schools choose up to five interactive stations, allowing students to learn by doing, not just watching. Each station is:

  • Hands-on and age-appropriate

  • Aligned with STEM & NGSS principles

  • Designed to spark curiosity and conversation

  • Supervised and guided by trained instructors

Students rotate in small groups, ensuring high engagement and maximum participation.

The STEM Experience Options

How does it work?

We handle setup, facilitation, and breakdown. You enjoy the smiles, learning, and “best day ever” feedback. You can choose from up to 6 stations per event. Each event is designed to be a 2 hour experience. However, half and full events are possible. Here's a few examples...

Edible Weather Station

Using food, students learn about different weather concepts like cloud development, how to read a weather radar, and how Meteorologists mean wind.

Green Screen Forecasting

Students step into the role of a TV meteorologist, deliver a forecast, and learn how weather is communicated to the public.

Severe Storm Lab

Students explore how tornadoes and severe weather form using visual models and guided experiments. Then they get to make their own tornado and hail!

Lightning & Static Electricity Station

Using plasma balls and safe demonstrations, students discover how electricity builds in storms, plus lightning safety tips.

Weather Art Station

Students create weather-themed postcards that connect creativity with real atmospheric science and take them home.
